I haven’t used it yet but the installation and the hook up to my nest was simple ! I turned on the nest and lowered the temperature so it would turn on and the cocoon turned on beautifully and the ac came through perfectly! I’m sure the heat will work the same.
Our house has two rooms with minimal register airflow even after extensive renovations it didn’t make a difference but the smart cocoon register booster fan increased the airflow to make a significant difference in the temperature of our rooms.
I bought 2 Smart Cocoons. The setup was easy. I did run into issues during the operations of the fans. Reached out to their support team. They responded very quickly and to try to solve the issues. Took a few tries with firmware updates and seem to be working fine. I'm very happy with the fans and I would recommend this.
I installed the Smart Cocoon booster fan, and noticed an improvement in the temperature of the room very quickly. A few weeks later, I added a sensor, and almost immediately noticed a further improvement. Prior to having the sensor, the app showed only the temperature inside the vent, which was understandably very different from the actual room temperature. Since adding the sensor, temperature changes are much more accurate.
I am very impressed with both the booster fan and the sensor, and can heartily recommend adding one for those who already have the fan. It synced with my ecobee thermostat immediately, and has made a noticeable difference.
It's nice to see a product that just works, and in these challenging times even nicer to find such a product that's made in Canada! Well done to all involved. In addition, any questions I had throughout the process were quickly and clearly answered.

Immediately our room felt cooler. Finally solved the problem in our 3 storie townhouse where it never was cool enough. I might need more of these. So easy to install and the app is simple to control and program the fan. I was very happy to discover that the speeds were also adjustable. Love love love it.
It’s been one week but the difference is significant. I am currently using 2 x 4 inch and 2 x 3 inch units. The fans can be scheduled to operate in various modes and fan speeds based on time of day. The ability to control and adjust remotely is important. I look forward to the evolution of future products

The booster fans made a definite difference in the comfort level of our upstairs rooms. They are much more effective when the room doors are kept closed. They definitely brought more cool air to the 2nd floor. Closing the doors helps keep the cool air from settling down the stairs. I order more for two other family members with similar issues.
Bought two Smart Cacoons as the bedrooms on the second floor never really cooled down during the summer. They work exteremly well and now the bedrooms and the main floor are about the same temperature.
They are Awesome and wish I had them for many years.
